Sofiya Dineralter Obituary

"Sofiya Dineralter, age 72, passed away on February 11, 2021at L&M Hospital in New London, Connecticut after battling leukemia and COVID-19. Her funeral service will be held at the Beth El cemetery in Groton, CT on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10 am.

Sofiya was born in Radomyshl, Ukraine on March 15, 1948 to Mikhayl and Dora Bilman. She worked as the manager of a post office in Zhytomyr for 30 years before moving to the United States in 1997. In 1973, she married her loving husband, Valeriy Dineralter, whom she was married to for 47 years. Sofiya had two children, Diana Moran (Dineralter) and Genadiy Dineralter, and two grandchildren, Tatyana Trachishina and Aleksander Dineralter. She also gained additional grandchildren through her kids’ marriages, Kiera Moran, Justin Ramirez, and Felishka Ramirez.

Sofiya enjoyed painting, sewing, and crocheting, as well as spending time with her family. Her friends and family describe her as a one of a kind woman with a beautiful soul. She cared about everyone, and was loved by everyone she met. Sofiya will be sorely missed and remembered always."
