Jeffrey Cohen Obituary

Dr. Jeffrey “Jeff” Cohen, 73, passed away in his Waterford home February 3, 2021.
Jeff was born to Harry and Goldie Cohen, and was as he would say, born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx. After attending City College of New York, he began a 42-year career with the Department of Defense working at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Along the way he earned his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Trinity College and his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island.
A travel enthusiast, after his retirement from work he was able to travel extensively with his wife Marilyn, enjoying many cruises together crisscrossing the world. On their many adventures they shared their love of sightseeing, good food, and wine, or a cold beer on occasion for Jeff. Jeff was an avid reader, never meeting a mystery story he could put down. He is survived by wife Marilyn; step-children Jonathan, Matthew, Daniel; their spouses Chrissy, Lynn, Yvette; and 3 grandchildren Daniel, Allison, and Thomas.
