East Lyme- George B. Choisy, age 93, of Niantic, died Saturday at Bayview Healthcare in Waterford.
He was born in New York City February 22, 1924, the son of Hubert and Agnes Costa Choisy. He was the husband of Beverly Murray Choisy. She predeceased him in 2004.
Mr. Choisy was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He was retired from the Electric Boat Company in Groton where he had been employed as a marine draftsman. He was a member of St. John Episcopal Church in Niantic.
He is survived by two sons, Corey Choisy of Suisun, CA, Scott Choisy of Niantic; two daughters, Robin Wilkinson of Old Lyme, Janine Allen of Canterbury; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday in St. John Episcopal Church, Main St., Niantic, with interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
