Sybylle Gonyo Obituary

Niantic - Sybylle M. E. Gonyo beloved mother, Oma, passed away at Crescent Point in Niantic on January 25, 2021 at the age of 75. Sybylle was born June 1, 1945 in Berlin Germany to the late Rolf and Edith Gast. Sybylle had one son and one granddaughter that she loved very much.

Sybylle worked at Pfizer for 20+ years as a Chemical Operator until she retired 18 years ago. She loved country music, lobsters, traveling back home to see her four sisters, but most of all she loved spending time with her granddaughter; she was the joy of her life! Sybylle is survived by her son Richard Gonyo and his Fiancé Cathy Newlin, her granddaughter Ryleigh Gonyo, Four sisters in Germany Petra, Renate, Gaby, and Claudia.

The family would like to thank all the health care workers at Crescent Point for the wonderful care they provided to mom.

A graveside service will be held on this Thursday 1/28 at Jordan Cemetery at 11am. All are welcome to attend. Due to Covid 19 regulations, we ask that those in attendance be mindful of social distancing and wear a mask at all times.
