Obituary

Montville - Patricia Ellen (Faretta) Sousa of Uncasville met eternal peace on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Norwich, on May 10, 1937, the daughter of Frank J. and Rose M. (Vitagliano) Faretta of Norwich whom are both deceased.

Patricia was a 1955 graduate of Norwich Free Acadamy. She was an avid fan of UConn basketball and also enjoyed watching hockey. Patricia had many interests which included bingo, bowling and playing video games.

Patricia is survived by her former husband, James T. Sousa Sr.; her daughter, Angela M. Kinney and husband, John; her sons, James T. Sousa Jr. and wife, Denise and their son, Cameron, Scott A. Sousa and his son, Branden Lyon and his daughter, Kayla Lyon and her son, Tucker Krepcio; and her brother, Richard J. Faretta and wife, Sylvia. Patricia also had many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was predeceased by her brother, Frank J. Faretta Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Joseph Church, Squire Street, New London. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Norwich. There are no calling hours.
