Kathleen Anne Teague

Waterford, CT - Kathleen A Teague, age 71, died on July 25, 2020.
Kathy was born on March 13,1949 in Wooster, OH. Her parents, Elden and Rosemary Starr, happily raised her in Wooster with sister Sue and brother Chris. After graduating from Wooster High School, Kathy attended nursing school, graduating in 1969. From 1975 to 1992, Kathy lived in Richmond, VA, where she worked as a Registered Nurse with the Medical College of Virginia. It was while in Virginia that Kathy developed her love of gardening and raising farm animals. She had a pioneering spirit and enjoyed canning, baking bread and making delicious desserts. It was during this time that she learned the art of spinning and weaving, often demonstrating her talents at the state fair while in costume. After her children had grown, Kathy returned to Wooster, OH and bought her dream farm, equipping it with sheep, goats and chickens. She continued her nursing career and enjoyed reconnecting with her family and friends. Kathy worked in hospice care for many years, and found it a most rewarding vocation. In 2008, at the bequest of her daughter, she moved to Waterford, CT. Before retiring, she worked at Bayview Health Care and loved to spend time with the residents. Kathy will best be remembered for having a generous heart, delighting in delivering fresh baked goods to her neighbors and sharing the harvests of her garden. In all her endeavors, Kathy kept the spirit of Jesus alive and she will continue to walk with him for eternity.

Surviving are her son Rob Teague and daughter Shelly Wilson, former husband Richard Teague, brother Chris Starr, and her four grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been created in her honor with Samaritan’s Purse. Please visit to make a donation https://sampur.se/3f4TYIT
