Granby, MA.- Jeffrey S. Kneipfer beloved son, father, brother and uncle born May 8, 1966 in New Haven, CT passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2014. Jeff grew up in East Lyme, CT and graduated from East Lyme High School. He earned an Associate's Degree in Paramedic Emergency Medicine from New Hampshire Technical Institute, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. His latest achievement was becoming a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Jeff loved physical activities such as weight lifting, golfing with his daughter, and skiing. He also loved music and playing his bass guitar. He found great enjoyment in making others laugh.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda Kneipfer, his pride and joy; his devoted parents, Ronald and Virginia Kneipfer, and his loving brother and sister in-law, Eric and Leslie Kneipfer and their daughters Abby and Emily; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Growing up Jeff volunteered at Flanders Fire House. He was a paramedic at L & M Hospital and was currently employed by Behavioral Health Network as a Clinical Social Worker. Jeff was passionate about helping others. He touched, and in numerous situations literally saved, many lives in both of his professions.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 9th from 10am to 12pm at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, CT followed by a memorial service at 12pm. wwwneilanfuneralhome.com
