Irving Rubin

Waterford- Irving Rubin, age 85, formerly of 39 Mackenzie Rd., died Tuesday evening at Bayview Healthcare Center.
He was born in New London May 25, 1919, the son of Julis and Belba Rubin. He married Pearl Goldstein in Fitchville June 30, 1940; she survives.
Mr. Rubin was employed for 30 years at Mohegan Dairy, and also worked at the Williams School for 15 years. He was a member of the Jordan Fire Department; the Jewish War Veterans; and a former member of the New London Lodge of Elks.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Jerry Rubin of Waterford; Stanley Rubin of Mystic; a daughter Joan Lipman of West Hartford; a sister Diana Marek of Stow, Ohio; five grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment will follow in Ohave Sholem Cemetery, Waterford. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
