Obituary

Eileen Kulpik, 88, of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

Mom, we are thankful for the ultimate blessing of having 'momma' in our lives. We stood together to support Eileen, our wife and mother, as her life slipped away, and she reached for the hand of our Lord. She played many roles during her lifetime, all with compassion, dedication and selflessness. She embraced anyone in need of a gentle warrior during difficult or trying times. A meal, an embrace or her nursing skills were frequently extended to those in her family and community.

She was proud to have been born into the Irish family of John Henry and Josephine Flynn along with her siblings Mary, Tom, Peg and Jane. Eileen enjoyed a simple life surrounded by strong love and respect of family, neighbors and friends. Eileen strove to mirror that family model with her own children. She encouraged each of us to appreciate all of the gifts we had, and to be mindful of the needs of others. Eileen was a true example of honoring the commandment "love thy neighbor as thyself"; She welcomed everyone into our home.

The last 15 years of her life were an undeniable gift to us, the result of the endless daily devotion of her loving husband, ‘dad'. His love was the best medicine available for her.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Theodore; her children Sharon and Bill Griffin, Ted and Mandy Kulpik, Karen Kulpik and Mike D'Aquila, John and Debi Kulpik; her grandchildren Jessica (Griffin) and Andrew Scheff, Will Griffin, Nico and Kiyah Kulpik; and great grandchildren Andrew, Margaret and Hannah Scheff.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 12th, 2018 at St. Agnes church 22 Haigh Ave. Niantic, CT. Private Interment will be at St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.

The family will host a Celebration of Life ceremony at Old Lyme Country Club, 40 McCurdy Road, Old Lyme, CT. on Sunday, October 14th, between 2 and 5.
