Dorothy Stroneski Obituary

New London-Dorothy F. Stroneski, 84, of New London, passed away January 25, 2021 at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.

She was born November 8, 1936 in Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of the late Charles and Nancy Pauline (Chaffee) Mercier.
Mrs. Stroneski was employed for many years as a clerk at SNET.

Survivors include two sons, John R. Stroneski Jr. of Waterford, Charles Stroneski and his wife Donna of Waterford; a daughter, Theresa Herbert of Waterford and four grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Stroneski and Saxon and Samson Herbert. Her husband, John R. Stroneski Jr., and a brother, Alfred Mercier and two sisters, Charlene Martinez and Barbara Mercier, predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (Feb 1st) 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Old Norwich Rd., Quaker Hill. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Ave., New London. There are no calling hours.

The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London is assisting the family with the arrangements.
