Quaker Hill- Beverly “Babs” Blair Eastty, 82, of Quaker Hill, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London.
She was born in Springfield, MA on August 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Hugh and Marion Blair. She was the wife of Harvey Eastty who survives her.
Beverly was retired, having been employed as a registrar at Yale University. She had volunteered for Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Friends of Harkness and also was a volunteer driver for the Road to Recovery program. She felt her greatest and proudest accomplishment was her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her seven children; Sheryl Davies (David) of Waterford, Blair Henry (Blythe) of New London, Dean Henry of Quaker Hill, Robin Amburn (Michael) of Waterford, Jennifer Henri (Michael) of Quaker Hill, Priscilla Ault of New London, Christopher Henry (Llora) of Clinton; She has a sister Jacqueline Scarpignato of Tucson, AZ; 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Paul Blair; sisters Marilyn Keefe and Priscilla Blair.
Calling hours are Sunday, September 10th, from 5-8 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday, September 11th, in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be shared on Beverly’s memorial page on
